What a week

This has been some week. Last Fri. Rebekah was admitted to the hosp. After many invasive test they finally did exploratory surgery yesterday the 22nd. Everything looked good, however they have concluded at this time that she has a nerve problem in her intestines. She will probably have to see a specialist. She came home today the 23rd, still in a lot of pain, but at least she is home. On Monday the 20th Elisabeth gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Matthew Leroy Krepp was born at 12:15 PM. He weighed 8lbs 13 ozs. 213/4 inches long. A big boy. I will attach some pictures. On Wed. my neice gave birth to a beautiful boy also in Germany. My mom now has had four Great-Grandchildren born this year. Two girls and two boys. She will be coming out on Nov. 8th to see Matthew. We are going to head down there tomorrow for the weekend.
We had our first snow of the season yesterday. It was very beautiful laying on the ground and on the trees. The gold and white were something to see. I'm sorry I missed a picture of it, we were at the hosp. Well I'll check back in next week. Enjoy seeing Matthew!!!

Election

Well I know many in my family are voting for different candidates and that is fine. That's what’s great about America. At least we have the freedom to choose. If we don't like the candidate we can always vote again in two -four yrs. All I know is I wish they would stop the mudslinging and tell us what they really plan to do and how much it is going to cost us. I blame both parties for the mess we are in. It started with Clinton and continued with Bush. I will be glad when it is over. I must say though I did have the opportunity to see McCain/Palin a few days after the convention. They came to Colo. Spgs. I was hoping to attach pictures as we were fairly close, but I guess they are on Rebekah's camera. I will try to post them later. We stood four and a half hrs. in the blazing sun before we could get inside the hanger (at the old Colo. Spgs airport). We were near the front so they finally let us in and at least we were in shade but had to wait almost two more hrs. before they arrived.
I blamed my husband for my mono but most likely I got it from such body to body contact with 12,000 strangers. So I have seen Regan, Bush Sr., and McCain and Calif. movie star gov. Wahoo!! Steve and the kids also saw Clinton.
In spite of the mono I am starting to get out. I went to pinochle Mon. night, Bible study Tues morning where I am co-leading a Beth Moore study on Psalms; Tues pm Rebekah took us out for dinner, today I went out for lunch with a friend then back to her house to watch a movie and now home. I am so tired!!! A week from Sat. I will head to New Mexico to be with Jason and Elisabeth and Cameron for the birth of Matthew L. Krepp. He is expected to join us around 3:30Pm on Mon. the 20th. Please be in prayer for Elisabeth that all will go well with the C-section and she will heal quickly. I will post pictures as soon as I can.
A week and a half ago Steve and I went out of town for the weekend. We had it planned for quite a while and the Dr said I could go as long as I was careful and didn't do any bull riding. Which was too bad because of course that is what we had planned to do, ha ha. Anyway we went to Durango Co. It is in the four corners area of the state (where four states meet.) The southwest corner of Colo. The drive was spectacular. I will post several pictures. They still don't even do it justice. The scenery was so beautiful. While there we took a drive to Silverton which is at over 9000 Ft. I had to go real slow there. On the trip we saw deer, wolf, and lots of antelopes. I love them. Well enjoy the pictures. It is time to take my husband out for dinner on a date. (That way I don't have to cook or clean up!) Till next time....

Labor Day Weekend

So sorry I haven't updated in so long. I can't believe, I came down with mono. Yes I know it is suppose to be a young persons disease but as the dr. said I don't present as the average person does. Not sure what he meant by that. Anyway I am about 3-4 weeks away from full recovery. At least I can finally get out of bed and do a few things with lots of rest in between.
Anyway to update. Over Labor day weekend we had Elisabeth and Cameron come and stay with us. It was the last trip she could take before the new one comes. We spent a day at the Chyenne Zoo. The highest zoo in the world. We had a great day. Liz did pretty good even in the heat and all the walking up and down hills. Here are some pictures from our day. Enjoy!!

After our trip we then went and visited Steve's school at Ft. Carson. Here are some pictures of his classroom and the base.

It was nice to see where he goes everyday. On Mon. Elisabeth and I went to Burlington Coat Factory where we spent a couple of hours regerstering for things she needs for Matthew. It was a great weekend. Next time I see her will be around Oct. 18th when I head down to New Mexico for the birth!!
